I’ve recently completed a project for innovation & creativity consultancy Cida Co centred on exploring African futures out to 2025 via a trend analysis presentation & scenario incasting exercise.
The work was aimed at engaging a ‘C’-level executive audience attending an innovation development programme taking place in both Harare, Zimbabwe and Gaborone, Botswana. The audience was drawn from across the public, private and NGO sectors.
The trend analysis centred on the exploration of key themes with significant, transformative potential for the continent and likely to be of importance in longer term organisational & corporate vision & strategy development.
The incasting exercise sought to highlight the value of participatory future thinking techniques and encourage the audience to recognise innovation as an inherently ‘future focused’ activity.
